CONGRATS TO ALL WHO PERFORMED AT THE REGION 2AA SOLO AND ENSEMBLE CONTEST!
On Friday, April 4th, 38 WHS students travelled to MSU-Mankato to perform in this year’s Region 2AA Solo and Ensemble Contest. Each of them performed a solo or small ensemble piece, and were evaluated by one judge. The following students received Superior ratings:
Brittany Sellman (12)/Tyler Stevenson (11)- duet
Brittany Sellman (12)- solo
Kara Breska (12)- solo
David Klingelhutz (12)- solo
Shane Segner (10)- solo
Addison Born (12)- solo
Ashley Tuley (12)- solo
In addition, two students were named “Best in Site, “ which means that their judge deemed their performance to be the best of the day at that site. The two that received this top honor were Shane Segner and Kara Breska. Congratulations! This is a HUGE honor!

WACONIA ECFE PRE-SCHOOLERS VISIT A WHS REHEARSAL
Students from the Waconia Early Childhood Family Education pre-school program got a chance to sit in and “play along” with the WHS Symphonic Band in a rehearsal. A great time was had by all....The future of the WHS Bands looks great!
