United Colors Of Truthiness

THE UNITED COLORS OF COLBERT NATION & OSCLA FLAG
contains over 230 avatars of writers and heroes from Colbert Nation, plus original composite artwork from alien-artist warsucks.
The original 6’ x 4’ flag, the only one ever produced and printed by the artist, was sent to Mr. Colbert via Stephen Jr. for Christmas ’06.
The flag is still hanging at the entrance hall of The Colbert Report studios on W. 54th Street in New York.
There are still a few 2’ x 3’ one sided replica, printed on white satin.

The United Colors Of Truthiness Pop Art & Video Exhibit has been hosted by the GREAT BEAR CAFE’, 19 SANTA CRUZ AVE. - LOS GATOS, CA
11/30/06 - And Virtually On Going!!!
Welcome
United Colors Of Truthiness is a state of mind, perhaps a true place in you heart, where mankind lives in peace and harmony with nature, no matter the color of your skin, religious and political beliefs, or what planet you are from.
Stephen Colbert  and his political satire show, The Colbert Report on Comedy Central, are my primary source of inspiration. Mr. Colbert’s no. 1 Fan Site Colbert Nation.com, is also the place to be, in order to learn more about Truthiness, its creator, Mr. Colbert and his devotingly (not a real word, but full of TRUTH ;o) supportive, creative and loving HEROES.
Last, but not least, I wish to thank both WonkyEar.com for the awesome high resolution pictures of Mr. Colbert, and the  OSCLA Forum (Official Stephen Colbert Love Association), filled with talented writers and creative folks.

Many, many thanks to my infinitely talented friend artist, Satoshi Matsuyama, who kindly printed my United Colors Of Truthiness flags! You really need to check out his awesome composites and artwork on line at http://www.love-peace-happiness.com/

Also, many thanks to Maria who kindly helped me to stitch together the flags. The prints on canvas were so large that Satoshi had to split them in half, and Maria, who’s a fantastic seamstress put them together with her touch of magic and her Singer machine!

What’s this exhibit for?
MAN! DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO USE YOUR HEAD TO GET AROUND?
Sorry for yelling, but I am little deaf myself. So, long story short, the purpose of this exhibit has very little or nothing to do with logic, high tech and computers. It all comes from my gut (pms), or should I say heart (period)? They are positioned pretty closed together, right?

United Colors Of Truthiness Pop-Art & Video Exhibit  is entirely open and free to whoever wants to experience the freedom of COLORIZATION - rather than colonization - of one’s soul. What that means is really up to you and the way your gut perceives art.
So, if your gut tells you to open your wallet and bid on one of the items for over $99,000,000, go for it. I’m not eBAY. You can bid as much as your heart’s content. I have no objections... But if your gut is full of question marks, I believe it’s really your brain kicking in and trying to stop your gut, once again...SO, DON’T LISTEN TO IT!!!

BTW: be generous, ‘cause a portion of what you buy goes straight to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease.

Moving on... I just completed the set up at the Great Bear Cafe - what a name! - I hope Mr. Colbert will forgive me... as he HATES BEARS... But these guys are awesome and vegetarians, so no harm done. (THANK YOU MARK FOR BEING MY GIANT INSTALLER)

Photos of the exhibit are all up and running on the link above “BID ON IT”. This, of course, if they don’t send me to Guantanamo before the end of the week, or if Comedy Central won’t sue me, or if Mr. Colbert won’t put me on the “DEAD TO ME” board for utilizing his word “Truthiness”... However, somehow I feel that none of this will happen to me, as I think Mr. Colbert liked my 1 Year Anniversary Card... He held it in his mighty hands for 12 seconds on October 17, 2006... along with the one made by another awesome HERO from Colbert Nation, Manda_K... (thank you Manda!) It could have been a special effect though - ;o)

Guess which one is mine?

OK. Here we go... hit “Publish” button... (I love iWeb! Thank YOU Apple... this page took me exactly one hour to do...) Very well, see ya later alligator! ES
