Pete came in 7th place in the Pole Vault, competing for the Greek team
Peter Clentzos was born in Oakland, CA on June 15, 1909 to parents Diamantis Haralambos Chlentzos and Yanoula Coulentianos from Kythera, Greece.
Pete is an inspiration for his many accomplishments. At 96, he is the oldest, living, Olympic medal winner in the world! He has been honored by numerous
organizations for his dedication and contributions as an athlete, teacher, coach, and administrator.

Terry Chlentzos Keramaris and Vikki Vrettos Fraioli recently visited their Uncle Pete in Palm Springs, CA, while he was recuperating in a rehabilitation center, following hip surgery. This is a short interview with him during his stay there in March 2006.
