Industry news.
Pioneer is now shipping Blue Ray drives for PCs, this new format utilises a blue laser and can hold up to 25 Gig of information on a single layer disc. At the moment there are 2 formats battling for market share in the HD video war. One is Blue Ray which is backed by companies such as Sony and Apple and the other is HD-DVD which is backed by Toshiba and NEC. This seems to be turning out to be a similar format war as the classic VHS versus Betamax so it will remain to be seen who will be triumphant.
