THE WRITERS’ LIBRARY:  Access to Vicki’s Private Website, which is where the Writers’ Library is located, requires a User ID and Password.   (Sorry, the open forum didn’t work.)  To apply for an ID and password, see APPLICATION below.

HISTORY

Vicki started this library as part of her annual “self-improvement” program.  Her goal that year was “to try to do good for goodness’ sake” to help other writers, expecting nothing in return.   At the end of the year, those on her subscriber’s list asked her continue and so she has, though for practical reasons she no longer posts every day.  (She does still respond daily to her Writers’ Zone (formerly Aids4Writers) group’s private questions.  She also still responds to urgent messages as soon as she sees them.)

These articles, written by Vicki, have been published in various magazines, newsletters, etc.  Some are handouts from her workshops, seminars, lectures, and creative writing classes.  Some were written specifically for her Writers’ Zone (formerly Aids4Writers) group and some are blog posts where she’s been asked for and has given reprint permissions.

Library contents are reader driven.  Readers of her blog, Writers’ Zone (formerly Aids4Writers) subscribers, and speakers’ requests accepted determine what goes into the library.

See Rules and Application below.

WRITERS’ ZONE GROUP

Writers’ Zone (formerly Aids4Writers) is a free online subscriber's list where a writer, editor, or agent emails Vicki a question about the craft or business of writing or about living as a writer, and she responds privately.  Those needing a response quickly should put "URGENT" in the subject line.

While Vicki is not foolish enough to believe she knows it all, she has learned a lot since she began writing in 1987, and she gladly shares what she can.

After many years, Vicki no longer posts daily or archives questions and answers.  The yahoogroups list exists for the purpose of taking private questions--only she receives and responds privately to them--and for posting her writing articles, lectures and seminar notes as well as her newsletters, which include material of interest to writers.  Members of Writers’ Zone may email Vicki questions at any time.  She personally responds to questions posed.
