“Hones suspense to a razored edge.  Riveting, relentless and fraught with betrayals.  Cuts both to the bone and to the heart.  Not This Time should be retitled Not to be Missed.”

   ―James Rollins, NYT bestseller of

The Devil Colony

"Hinze paints her tale on a broad canvas, her writing expertly controlled, rich in imagination, deep in characterization.  It's a race against time and shadowy instincts, the narrative loud with surprises, the premise all-too-believable."

--Steve Berry, NYT bestseller of

The Jefferson Key

BEFORE THE WHITE ROSE:

“This story touches the most tender place in your heart. Life is so difficult at times that it seems almost too painful to bear. But the other times, the wonderful ones like first kisses and weddings and new babies make those painful moments tolerable. We forget just how bad the pain was and we move on, we keep living. Hinze nails those feelings down to the tiniest glimmer of both doubt and hope. Her portrayal of Elisa is a masterpiece. Don't miss this one!”  -Debra Webb

Dear Readers:

Welcome to my online home.  I’m so glad you stopped by to visit.

This month I’m celebrating the release of DEADLY TIES, the second book I’ve set at Crossroads Crisis Center.  For those familiar, this is Dr. Lisa Harper and Mark Taylor’s story.  Family relationships are messy.  But Lisa has a lot more to contend with than most.  I stayed on the edge of my seat in the writing, and I hope you will in the reading!

Explore a little and enjoy your time here.  Drop me a message and let me know if you found something you liked or didn’t find something you wanted.

Blessings,

Vicki

MY MISSION

“We’re all broken. We all hope we can heal. We all have challenges that we doubt we can make it through; where we can’t see light at the end of the tunnel, we’re stuck in the darkness, groping for a door, a way out. We ask ourselves, Is healing possible? What we often don’t see is that if we hold on, we will get through our troubles. And we rarely see (until we experience it) that our battle scars change us. We’re no longer the person we were. We’re the person we’ve become. Wiser. Stronger. More confident and sure of ourselves because we endured and survived. These are the stories I most love to write. Stories about the real us, without the veneer and party faces. Stories in which we recognize ourselves and bits of our lives. Stories where we, the broken, heal . . . and thrive!”
