I’m Father Victor Hoagland,

a Passionist priest belonging to a Catholic religious community–the Passionists– founded by St. Paul of the Cross in 18th century Italy. Right now, I live in Union City, NJ, USA, not far from where I was born: Bayonne, New Jersey, in the shadow of the beautiful Bayonne Bridge.

As a boy, I wanted to work on the tugboats I watched on Newark Bay and New York Harbor.

You never know where you will wind up watching tugboats and being born near a great bridge.
