Rockies Birthday Party

A birthday party at Coors Field! Crazy. We took 8 little boys and one little sister to the Rockies game for my sons birthday. This is a really easy and fun birthday party to throw. It turns out to be about 20 dollars a child and that includes tickets in the Pavilion area of the stadium. The Rockies provide a nice buffet of food including popcorn, hot dogs, chicken fingers, and cake. The kids also get tons of licorice and baseball cards. Dinger comes to the picnic area for about 2 seconds, but it is long enough for the kids to get a picture with him.
We rented a van and decorated it and drove all the boys to the park. This turned out to be the highlight of the party. I suggest it, but you must have a high tolerance for listening to the same song over and over. In our case....Eye of the Tiger.

Pink Tea Party

Pink is such an easy theme. I found some pink cookies, pink jelly beans, and pink lemonade at the local grocery store put them on tables with pink table cloths and pink flowers. Finished with a pink cake and that was it. My little girl was turning 3 so she didn’t care too much who was at the party but it was just important that they wore pink.

There are tons of good places in Denver to find great cookies. Obviously, you can run to the grocery store and grab a box of the basic chocolate chips or some frosted ones that have frosting the color of the next upcoming holiday. King Soopers also has these really cute little animal frosted cookies that would work for any farm type of party you are having. Childs’ Bakery has great frosted sugar cookies that can be found in Holiday shapes. The best one that I have found are at Gateaux Bakery on Speer. You can get them in many shapes to go with your party theme. Although, they are so good, the parents may eat them before the kids get to them.

Perk & Play

This place is crazy. It is a coffee place in Stapleton that has toys for children to play with. Perk and Play also has food and drinks for snacks for the little ones. The children do keep pretty occupied so the mothers have sometime to talk to their friends but you have to expect a couple fights over toys, break downs, and just basic chaos. They offer a little tea party for children that might be a pretty cute little party but If I were to have a party there I would make sure it was during off hours.

Evel Knievels sister “Piggy”

My daughter finally decided on a Piggy. Everyday she would change from Mickey Mouse to Piggy and then back to Mickey Mouse. Piggy won out on Halloween night. Our weather in Colorado was so great last night and it was so fun to be out in our neighborhood Trick or Treating. I don’t know who wanted to stay out longer me or my children.
