Bruce Vernon

I’ve always felt I was an artist, even when I couldn’t claim it as a vocation. Somehow the money issue can’t define it. I had a career in the financial services industry. I am now retired from that world. I’m happily married since 1967 to my dearest Cynthia, the mother of my three children. We now reside in Florida, after spending most of our lives in the midwest. I’m continuing my pursuit of being an artist, musician, and cook, and having fun.

I worked in Chicago and I’ve done a few drawings of the buildings there. I liked the shadow play under the El tracks. I’ve been visiting southwest Florida for some time, and now it’s home. I’ve done a few drawings of banyan trees, which are fascinating to me. A friend of mine, an auto enthusiast, asked me to do some drawings of old cars. I’ve done over 130 drawings of old cars.

The two cars to the right of my photo are a 1932 Plymouth three window coupe and a 1934 Ford woodie wagon. You can see more on the Drawings page and at http://homepage.mac.com/vernob/PhotoAlbum3.html. Those are the Studebakers and Packards. The Studebaker Museum has my work in their gift shop.

My work is shown at Tamiami Art and Frame in Port Charlotte, FL. You will find some of my work at www.artfinity.com. I have many more images that are not shown. Email me if you have some feeling for the way I work and would like to see more.

Prints of my car drawings are available for $11.00 postpaid. If you don’t see your favorite car on my attached pages, send me an email, vernob@mac.com. You may also check my auctions on Ebay. My seller name is Vernob.

To tell the truth, I can’t help but wonder where I’m bound. While I’m here, I want to enjoy life and be as kind as I am able.
