Encino Elementary School has various options for afterschool care or supervised play, on campus and nearby.  Please call each for information or to visit and observe the programs.


SUPERVISED PLAY

LAUSD provides supervised play in the school yard until ___ PM on most days.  Supervisors provide sports equipment and encourage recreational play that develops basic movement skills, strong and healthy bodies, teamwork, sportsmanship, and cooperative social skills.  While supervisors promote safety in the yard, students are free to come and go from campus.

KidCare is a state sponsored program that provides an environment where children can participate in intellectual, creative, social and recreational activities that are developmentally and linguistically appropriate. KidCare activities include homework time, arts and crafts, snacks, games and indoor/outdoor recreation.  Kidcare is also open during summer vacation, winter break and spring break.

After School$13 per child per day

Creative Kids

Before and afterschool care are available.  Supervised activities include homework time, nutritious snacks, and yard play.  Enrolled students have the option of full-time care or drop-in if space is available.

Registration:     $30

After school until 6:30 PM:    $25/day; $60/week

Before school from 6:30 AM: $12/day; $30/ week

Before + After school:  $75 /week

Right across the street from Encino Elementary, EPCC has an after school enrichment program that includes homework time, snack, music, poetry and read-aloud novels, hands-on experiences in science, cooking, arts and crafts, and supervised park play.  EPCC emphasizes quality care through experienced and caring teachers at a 1:14 teacher-student ratio.  EPCC also has preschool and kindergarten programs.
