Sometimes the choices we make result in unexpected consequences; consequences that close doors and negatively affect friends, family and our community. The Edge of Reality, a film produced by independent film director/producer, Ron Haese, Neenah Joint School District Student Assistance Program Coordinator, Vicki Bayer, and Horace Mann Middle School Computer Applications Teacher, Diane Doersh, shows just how bad things can become when teens make poor choices.
The film stars eight Neenah High School Students. Not only did the eight play themselves in a story about a drinking party gone wrong and the horrendous consequences, but they also worked together with Mr. Haese in writing the script.
During the production of the movie, these students collaborated and worked closely with Ruth Melzer. Ruth and her husband Robert were long-time employees of the Neenah Joint School District. While riding bikes through the city of Neenah in July of 2007, Robert was killed by a drunk driver. Their tragedy inspired the students as they worked diligently to complete this project.
Don’t miss your opportunity to own this movie that is certain to motivate others to consider the consequences of their choices.
