Transferring the Domain file
You will see that the Domain file is important (FAQ2). To transfer all your site information over to another computer, you need to copy over this Domain file from username/Library/Application Support/iWeb to the same place on your new computer. Once you have done this, you can double-click the Domain file to open iWeb with this Domain file.
Multiple Domain files
You can if you wish have different Domain files each with different sites within it.
There are other ways to manipulate your sites and Domain files, involving other techniques and third party programs. See FAQ10 for links.
Missing items from the Domain file
Sometimes, iWeb will report missing items on startup. If this happens, try to find the missing item from your hard drive, for example, using Spotlight If you cannot find the item in question, you can chose to either remake the page that contained the item from scratch, or create the item again, give it the same name as the missing item, then drag that into iWeb. If lots of items are missing, your Domain file may be corrupted, in this case, you may be better off restoring your Domain file from a valid backup.
If you are confident enough, and HAVE A BACKUP OF THE DOMAIN FILE, you can open the Domain file itself and check the contents for yourself. Control-click on the Domain file and select Show Package Contents from the contextual menu that appears. A window will open containing all the files that make up your site. You can move missing items directly into this folder if you wish. Do not delete anything from this folder unless you are entirely clear with what you are doing.
