I see you're using Internet Explorer.  Try Firefox, you'll like it better.

      · Firefox blocks pop-up windows.
      · It stops viruses and spyware.
      · It keeps Microsoft from controlling the future of the internet.

Click the button on the right to download Firefox.  It's free.

iWeb Tips and Tricks
IMPORTANT: If you have not read my Basic HTML Editing Instructions, do that first!

If you publish to .Mac, photo pages include a feature where clicking on a thumbnail opens a window with the full sized image.

Here's how to get that feature on any page, any image, any thumbnail:

First, create your thumbnail (small) version of the image in iWeb.

Next, make that thumbnail link "to a file" via the link tab in Inspector. The file you want to link to is the full sized image.

Publish your site! Then make the following change post-publishing:

Find

href="pagename_files/nameofimage.jpg"

Replace with

href="#" onclick="javascript:window.open('pagename_files/nameofimage.jpg','_blank',width=x,height=y,toolbar=0,menubar=0,resizable=0,location=0,status=0,scrollbars=0,directories=0'); return false;"

Where x and y are the dimensions of the full sized photo. You would need to do this for each photo you link to. This will make them open in their own, properly sized window when clicked.

You can also do this with a text link. The same find/replace parameters would apply.

(I have removed the example to see if this fixes my text to png conversion problem on this page. Sorry for the inconvenience.)

Remember, if you make a change to a page like this post-publishing, and later re-publish, you have to make the html changes again! Set up a Find/Replace command in MassReplaceIt and you can do this very quickly (especially if you want to do multiple pages!)Basic%20HTML%20Additions.htmlshapeimage_4_link_0
