Join us for a full day of fun and spirited driving north of Truckee with fellow MINI enthusiasts.  We will enjoy some beautiful sights in the mountains of northern California, have several photo opportunities, and enjoy a nice meal at the beautiful Mountain Creek Restaurant & Buckhorn Tavern.  Here is our tentative schedule for this fine event:

8:30 AM    Folks from the Carson City area and points south meet at the SaveMart parking lot on North Carson Street in Carson City, Nevada.

9:30 AM    Folks from the Carson City area will meet up with other Sierra Nevada Mini Coopers members at the old Krispy Kreme parking lot on Kietzke Lane (just north of Mimi’s Restaurant) and head for Truckee, California.

10:15 AM    Stop in Truckee for a break (coffee, restroom, etc.)  There is a Starbucks/Safeway at 11290 Donner Pass Road in Truckee that should have plenty of room for us to park and afford all of the amenities we may need for our break.

10:30 AM    Head north on Highway 89 to Highway 49 and Gold Lake Highway.

11:20 AM    Arrive for a photo op of Sierra Buttes on Gold Lake Highway near Sardine and Salmon Lakes.

11:55 AM    Leave for lunch at the Mountain Creek Restaurant & Buckhorn Tavern at 225 Main Street in Sierra City.

12:30 PM    Lunch at Mountain Creek Restaurant & Buckhorn Tavern. 

1:30 PM    Head for home.
