Mini Mania Nevada City Adventure—Saturday, May 19

Minis, music, and driving fun highlight this 12th annual summertime event at Mini Mania’s facility at 870 Gold Flat Road in Nevada City.  This year, we are also planning a side trip to the tiny town of Washington, which is located on the banks of the south fork of the Yuba River just north of Highway 20, and has a population of approximately two hundred people.  For additional information, contact Rod Dimmitt at roddimmitt@hotmail.com.

A Mini Breakfast at the Red Hut Cafe—Saturday, June 2

We will meet for breakfast at the new Red Hut Cafe (formerly Woody’s Diner) at 4385 South Carson Street, Carson City, NV next to El Charro Avitia Mexican Restaurant to discuss all things Mini.  We’ll meet at 9:00 AM.  For additional information, contact Rod Dimmitt at roddimmitt@hotmail.com.

Monitor Pass Run—Saturday, July 21

This event will be a day run up (and down) Monitor Pass south to Topaz Lake and back home.  With an elevation of 8,314 feet above sea level, make sure your coolant is fresh and your brakes are in good condition for this robust and spirited climb up and over the mountain.  For additional information, contact Rod Dimmitt at roddimmitt@hotmail.com.

Gold Lake Run and Brown Bag BBQ—Sunday, August 19

Late summer sounds like the perfect time for a run north for some fresh mountain air and a break from the stifling valley heat.  We’ll end up at Gold Lake, CA (near Graeagle) where we plan to pull out the portable BBQs and grill some lunch before heading back home.  For additional information, contact Vance Hughey at vhughey@charter.net.

AMVIV9 (A Mini Vacation in Vegas)—June 14-17

If you are interested in attending one of the largest gatherings of Minis from all over the country, AMVIV is the place to be.  A MINI Vacation in Vegas (AMVIV for short) is an annual club-run event hosted by the Sin City MINI Club for MINI and Mini Cooper enthusiasts.  It’s a chance for folks to take time out of their busy schedules to head out to the desert and schmooze with fellow Miniacs.  Check it out at http://www.amviv.com/amviv-in-2012/.

California State Railroad Museum—Saturday, September 22

Located in Old Sacramento, the California State Railroad Museum is a complex of historic facilities and unique attractions.  Widely regarded as North America's most popular railroad museum, there is something here for everyone!

Fall Colors Run—Saturday, October 13

The mountains of the Sierra Nevada are too beautiful in October to let this time of year go by without a drive to see the colorful leaves and the majestic views.  Stay tuned for more information about this event.

Nevada Day Parade—Saturday, October 27

Once again we will enter our Minis in Nevada’s premier parade celebrating the Silver State’s birthday.
