Our family bought this house as a HUD home from the Federal Government at Auction in 1991.  We were expecting our first child and wanted a house to start our family in.  When we bought the house it was in terrible need of TLC and lots of money.  At the time we were short on funds so we remodeled the house a little at a time over the next 13 years.  By then we had four children (3 boys and 1 girl) and the house only had 3 bedrooms so you can imagine that we needed more room.  After much debate we decided to keep the house as a long-term rental and build a new larger home for our maturing family.

Year Built: 1955
Square Footage: 1,875
Bedrooms: Four
Bathrooms: Two
Garage: 2 Car - 9’ Door, Fits SUV
Common Spaces: Eat-in Kitchen, Formal Dining Room, Living Room, Family Room, Backyard Deck, 1/3 acre lot with fenced backyard, side-yard with outdoor Jacuzzi spa.
A few years later we were contemplating building a vacation cabin for family holidays in the canyons and decided it would make more sense to build onto and remodel rental home and keep it for our family getaways.
In December 2006 the addition and another full-remodel were complete, the house was furnished and we were ready to start enjoying it. It’s been a real pleasure spending time with our family in our Utah Snow Home. It is our hope that other families will create many happy memories within it’s walls as well. Enjoy!
