Welcome to my site....

I am very fortunate to live and paint in a lovely alpine valley of the Rocky Mountains where the main street of our small town still has no stoplight.  Beyond the charming homes, are farms, livestock, a river, deer, reservoirs, grasslands and spectacular views of Mt. Timpanogas. 

It’s a beautiful place to explore and paint. 

2009... eyes, heart, mind expanded during a 51 day journey across Europe. This remarkable experience continues to integrate colorfully into direct painting, aka sketching, aka limning. Standing before fields of tangled blossoms, lofty Box Elder trees, cascading waterfalls, or at the very edge of Britain's sea cliffs... spirit is renewed and immersed in sensations that anchor me to earth and creation.

Add to that, the dimension of quick genre studies of people engrossed in the ‘now’ of their individual and intimate lives.  There is a splendid wonder in sketching them absorbed in their immediate, personal experience.
