The SuperTexan by Dan Torres is his most popular design.  Nothing beats a hand made tube amp by people who make it their passion.  The SuperTexan is a very versatile amp with it’s channel switching capabilities, tube buffered effects loop , and tube reverb.  Channel 1 is the clean channel, but can be overdriven if desired depending on the input volume.  From Dan’s website, “Channel #1 is clean, perfect vintage Fender Super Reverb.”  Channel 2 is, “Dumble-like, warm overdrive.”  Each channel his its own set of tone controls and dedicated tubes.  This particular amp has been designed to work with many different power tubes.  Check out the power tube section for more details.  There is a rectifier for the filament on the 6 preamp tubes as DC heating results in lower noise.  Shielded wiring is also used for low noise operation.  I bought this amp as an additional amp for my band, but our band is no more.  That’s why I’m selling it.  For more information about Torres amps, check out their website at www.torresengineering.com.
