The AVScast is a Podcast, as well as a blog, that covers the Colorado Avalanche in their quest for the cup in the 2007-2008 season. With last years disappointment behind us, we look forward to this season. With big guns like Joe Sakic, Paul Stansty, Milan Hejduk, and others coming back, this season promises to be one of the Avs best. Stay tuned with the AVScast and AVScast Blog over the next season as we cover all (well, about 90%) of the games of the '07-'08 season. We have a few tools that will help you follow the Avs through their quest for the cup. For those of you that have Mac OS X 10.4, we have a Dashboard widget, which is available through Apple's site, and through the links below. Also check out our podcast in iTunes, and for those of you without iPods, we have RSS feeds for both the blog and the podcast, once again, in the links below.

    • NHL App for iPhone

      The NHL App (for iPhone) is a webapp that allows users to see the schedule of any NHL team, either by day (entire NHL) or by team (entire season). Although the app works on most standards compliant browsers, it is meant for Safari, which is available for Windows (XP/Vista), OS X, and iPhone.

      AVScast Widget

      The AVScast Widget feature the RSS feed from the AVScast, and allows anyone with Mac OS 10.4+ to view (and soon listen) to any of the last 50 pocasts right from their desktop. We hope to soon have a widget for the blog, and also we have a combined RSS reader down the pipeline.

      The RSS feed allows people not using iTunes (or those that are so inclined to use it in iTunes) to view the Podcast. The RSS feed also allows people to quickly view the last 50 podcasts in their browser (IE7, Safari, Firefox, etc.) in a very simple interface.

      Subscribing in iTunes allows you to have the newest episode of the AVScast sitting in your iTunes library as soon as it becomes available. This is the recommended way of getting your gamely dose of the AVScast. No iPod is nessecary, despite the name. If you don't have iTunes, it's available as a free download from Apple.
