Today we took on the Calgary Flames, who came into this game in 3rd place in the Western Conference, with 68 points. The Avs came into this game 8 points out of the playoffs, and 10 out of 3rd place in the West.  The Avs won the game 7-5, on Milan Hejduk’s hat trick goal.  The Calgary/Avalanche series since the lockout has been a very high scoring one, 84 goals in just 11 games, and average of 7.6 goals per game.  The Avs are gaining steam as we near the playoffs, and we have at least a game in hand against all of the other Northwest Division teams.  We will pay Calgary in 2 of the next 3 games, and Calgary will play us in 2 or their next 2 games.  Enjoy
