FIAT Car Design Competition
“Design The Italian Way” a competition organized by Fiat Auto that began on 30 November 2006 and ended in September 2007, pitting the creativity and talent of students from eight of the most important design schools in the world one against the other.
The goal was to design The Italian Way and to stimulate ideas, proposals and suggestions for the Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo models of tomorrow.

The 200 students, of 12 different nationalities, who participated in the “Design The ! Italian Way” competition were divided i nto three groups – one for each brand – and in total they presented 100 projects.
In June, a jury including the heads of styling for Fiat and Alfa Romeo chose the three best concepts from each school, one for each brand.
The works of the 24 finalists were displayed in an exhibition o! rganized in Turin, and the three projects that deserved a “special mention for the best Italian design for Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo” were selected on 20th September.
NID student, Mahaan Ghose was the winner for Alfa Romeo brand which was a very proud movement for NID as Transportation and Automobile Design discipline is recently started and through this competition NID has made very strong impact on the world of Transportation and Automobile Design.ways.
