Rohit”s statement of provocation:

India has embraced a new dawn during the first few years of the twenty-first century.  Adaptation to constantly changing technology, free enterprise and the implementation of market-driven economic models have changed the Indian landscape deeply immersed in culture and traditional values. In the next decade it may be possible for the Indian economy to overtake Britain, France and Italy. However, India still has a long and winding path ahead. The challenges are enormous: educating the masses, building a solid infrastructure and creating new jobs and opportunities for all of its diverse population. The “Design with India” forum will be a pioneering stepping stone to create an active dialogue and global participation. The design community will have to analyze these challenges and brainstorm (what we do best!) to blaze new trails of innovation in response to India’s needs and desires.
