Claudio Moderni
Director of the Design Department of Domus Academy
Born in 1965, designer with a background in architecture, he has been involved since 1990 in research and project activities in the field of Digital Media and Interaction Design.
His design and research interests concern the introduction of Information and Communication Technology (ITC) in the everyday life environment, from domestic to urban spaces, and the potentiality of electronic technologies in supporting the quality of social relationships with a focus on the multi-sensorial and communicative aspects of interactive “mixed reality” environments.
Current Activity:
• since 2007 director of the Design Department of Domus Academy, an international research and post-graduate educational institute focused on innovation in design
• founder and director of the Master Programme in Interactive Design, Since 1995 he is member of the research staff at DARC (Domus Academy Research Center), since 2000 responsible of the interaction and media design research activity
• Interaction Design consultant for Deep Blue, a consultancy firm composed of a multidisciplinary team of specialists in human factors, cognitive psychology, interaction design, and software engineering
