After studying Product Design from NID in 1980-81, Bhargav spent first 4 years designing products for computer industry.

 

He has been running Golden Section since  1985. The Product Design experience includes Computer housings for medical equipment, space applications systems, energy meters, mobile test labs, pallet trucks, trophies etc.

 

Bhargav’s Current work involves designing meters and test instruments for National as well as Global markets such as Australia, UK, Isreal, S Africa and Turkey. Bhargav has also been teaching design in various Schools.

 

Bhargav pursues his passion for music along with the education in Design. He plays Sarod and also composes music. His first album SHIVOHAM SHANKARA was releaased  in 2005 in India and Europe.

 

 

 

There is a similarity in the elements of design and music. If the basic element of Design is a point, it is the note in Music. A line, could be equivalent to the sound between two notes. Like wise circles, squares, cuboids, spheres and other forms , and dimensions can be heard in music.. If there are three dimensions in design, what might be these dimensions in Music?

The presentration will demonstrate this. When we talk of Form and Space in design, is it not Sound and Silence in Music? Wouldn't it be an interesting experience if we Listen to Form and See music? From Space comes Form... From Space comes Sound...Surely there must be a relationship between Sound and Form somewhere.. My presentation explores this possibility through my parallel journey in Design and Music.. Creation of symphonies and melodies in Design and Music...

 

The presentation will begin with these elements demonstrated with sound and music I've composed. Then there will be visuals of design works in the backdrop some composition from my recent album to be released in Jan 08.
