Kevin’s statement of provocation:

The emergence of India as a global economic force may be a fact and a phenomenon, however the Indian culture has been influencing the world for a very long time....from the teachings of Gandhi, to music, to dance, to fashions, to advancements in technology, and business structure and strategy.

The design industry has an opportunity to take the learning it gains from designing with the diverse peoples of India, and applying this knowledge to the greater need to respect and design with people of all cultures.

While Design with India may focus on India, and the needs of it’s people, the greater gain is an understanding of trends that will influence and benefit the entire world.
