Upstate Apple Users Group
Who we are: A non-profit group of like-minded people who share an interest in Apple Computers. We exist to share knowledge about them, their peripherals, and their applications. We also acquire and distribute useful public domain software. If you’re a beginner or a polished expert, the UAUG can make computing more enjoyable.
What we do: We conduct a monthly meeting, and we maintain this website and a forum website, uaugtalk.org, to facilitate communication between members. The purpose of both the meeting and our websites is to help and encourage our members and others to use Macintosh computers more effectively.
When we meet: Twice a month. On the third Wednesday of each month except December, there’s a meeting of our Executive Board to which all present and prospective members of the UAUG are welcome. Board meetings begin at 7:30 PM. Our main monthly meeting is held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, with a help session starting at 6:30 PM (during which open Q&A and one-on-one help is available), and the business part of the meeting beginning at 7:30 PM. The meetings consist of demonstrations, discussions, Q&A, and just plain good chat. Meetings are usually over by 9:00 PM.
See the calendar below for a schedule of the meeting locations for for the year:
But there’s more! If you own a computer connected to the Internet, the UAUG is now available to you on a round-the-clock basis. Our UAUGtalk.org forum website is open to all members (it is viewable by all, but only UAUG members can register to access member-only content and post to the forums).
Join us! Membership is open to all. Dues are $12 per year per person; members of a family can enjoy full membership privileges for only $6 for each additional family member. (Members who paid $24 at their last renewal should click here for information about their membership status.) Join the UAUG by attending any of our meetings or calling any one of our officers.
