Max Ochs - Another Day © 2006
It was one of those fascinating days in the studio. Max had been wanting some percussion on this seven minute raga. I had worked with Laura Cerulli, who is also a part of Disappear Fear, on a project with Randall WiIliams. From that experience, I thought she might just have the right stuff for Max. They talked over the phone. She heard the track. They came in and played together; Max on lap steel, Laura laying down basic percussion which we would then add to. The magic happened. This is a short piece of the finished track. Max’s CD, “Hooray For Another Day”, is due to be released in late 2007 on Josh Rosenthal’s Tompkins Square label.
