This is my current dream office...or pretty close to it. I can’t seem to retrace where I found it (I didn’t know I needed to be keeping notes on all my sources when I didn’t know I would be starting a blog!) but my guess is that its via {this is glamorous}. I love it because its a wonderful balance of minimalism, modernism, opulence, and earthiness. Its all quite spare until you get to that chandelier that hangs above the worker’s head like an exquisite thought cloud for all would labor beneath it. I think I’d like a bit more color but I’m a bit like the poet I wrote about a few days ago that I need a space (especially when I work) that would stimulate my senses without overwhelming them. I think this would do it.
So, “rustic glamour”... I took a fun little quiz over at the British site mydeco.com that labeled me as a “Home Queen.” And it gave me a great paragraph describing my style. It said I am “drawn to all things that combine beauty with adventure,” which I liked, and probably my favorite part described my style as “rustic glamour.” saying, “no doubt it exists, but its a rare and perhaps bizarre combination!” I liked that a lot, too.
Here’s what it had to say about the glamorous side of me: “This is a high-octane, unabashed, sensual look that encompasses everything that’s luxurious, voluptuous and curvaceous. Think rich fabrics, textured materials and glossy surfaces. While glamour makes a big, bold statement, it also smacks of total comfort and fun.”
