Case in point. This is the very first wedding board I created. I had titled it “Organic Elegance” but I’d say that little quiz nailed me. (See the previous post if you want to know what the heck I’m talking about!)
This is what I am drawn to....rich and delicate texture....the balancing of feminine and masculine qualities....I find so much beauty in the pairing of the two. They are aesthetically a perfect foil for each other....imagine that! Imagine this board with only the lace components...to sugary for me. Its the wood, stone, and...burl in this board that makes the lace all the more ethereal and feminine. You may notice, even in the bouquet, which is typically all flowers, I felt I needed to pull away from the girliness and opted for a more neutral (and yet totally chic) bouquet to balance the dress and the cake. And I love how the lotus pods and cockscomb (in the bouquet) still echo the lace without overdoing it.
AND, to top it all off, this wedding is pretty darn sustainable!
