Flowers, flowers, flowers. Bridal flowers. Corsages. Boutonnieres. Colors. Combos. Budget. Where do you start?
Well, I can’t help you there. I usually suggest to do inexpensive, sturdy and pretty. Calla lilies are great ~ just not on your budget, usually. Orchids, surprisingly, when bought in bulk, are NOT expensive! I still like a good, old fashioned daisy, whether they are gerberas or just plain white. Roses are sweet and meaningful, and I can’t say no to a tropical bouquet.
Whatever your plan for your flowers, just make sure they speak about you. And make sure you don’t break the bank ~ really, most people don’t remember your centerpieces, no matter how expensive, and your pictures, whether your flowers are silk or real, will be pretty, no matter what.
And be realistic. You might have colors, flowers or a picture in mind, but remember, your bouquet will be YOUR bouquet. If the flowers/colors/styles are slightly different than what you saw online or in a magazine, it doesn’t matter, because it’s YOUR bouquet and it will always be unique to you. And trust me, no one but you is going to know if your ivory roses were white instead or if you were supposed to have calla lilies instead of fresia. Go with the flow, get what’s durable and in season, and simply, be realistic. Let your flower lady go to town and be surprised when you get your bouquet! Say “I want purple” and wait and watch what you get. It’s yours, isn’t it? It looks great in the pictures, doesn’t it? That’s ALL that matters.
Be true to yourself, and your flowers will be true to you.
