What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and walk humbly with your God?Micah 6:8

TWO arranges immersion education trips into Mexico and other countries in order to better understand the interdependent global community in which we live, and to explore ways in which we can walk humbly and justly with our God, and with our neighbor, upon this planet. Trips are designed as opportunities for us to listen and learn from people of another place and culture. The format of these trips is most appropriate for young adults and adults, but can be arranged for senior high school ages with strong adult leadership.

San Diego – our location – is across the border from Tijuana, Mexico, and is the site of the busiest border crossing in the world. Typical trips into Tijuana and nearby Tecate introduce us to local residents, visit community projects, provide conversations with leaders, seek to build meaningful relationships, and offer to lend a hand where needed. Lodging and meals are as guests of those programs.

We seek to learn as much about ourselves in these encounters as we do about a new place. TWO provides a variety of resources to help you prepare for this experience, reflect on its meaning while you are there, and process the “so what” once you return. Participants are encouraged to keep a journal of their observations and thoughts.
