Our first online photo album! Joy! Seattle’s Austin’s sister city. Very cool. Lots of museums, places to eat, things to do and see, places to exercise, and wonderful summer weather.
Erin finally got to see her mom after 7 years... yes, seven. It was quite an experience for me too... I’d never met her mom after 5 1/2 years of being together !!! geez. I now understand her other half (the gooberish, silly, sensitive & emotional side that I love so much).
We also got to spend happy time with her 2year old nephew Tyler and her 1/2 sister Mara (who live out of a teepee on Lopez Island off of Washington State - yes a teepee, and it’s cool). They are both very happy and Tyler is very cute! He’s got a thing for hats.
Hanging out at Erin’s mom’s place with her husband Serge and their plump but very lovable cat Grille Beaue (“Beautiful Gray”) was quite relaxing and rather educational. They are very hippy. From my point of view they are really great about conserving, reducing and reusing. I mean, they take out 2 bags of trash a YEAR! Definitely can learn from that. This is all from my perspective though... Erin would probably have different words to share.
Finally, we got to go on my part of the trip... SQUAMISH, BC !!!!
Climbers’ heaven.
Climb boulders no more than 30seconds from your car right under the Chief. Beautiful, lively forest. Seriously, gnomes should live here (if they don’t already!). One rainy day just wasn’t enough. ; ) Must plan return trip.
