good sista/bad sista
performance poetry dynamic duo

Good Sista/Bad Sista are two black women with big hair who (w)right and re(in)cite powerful, provocative, and political performance poetry wit attitude. They have dropped their verbal handgrenades in slams, slums, schools, and streets, throughout these (un)united states, and unleashed their lethal word weapons on tell-I-vision, radio, and records.
In the Service of Soul Sista Security of the first, second and third world, these poetic provocateurs borrow ball points, pilfer paper, liberate language, and appropriate afro picks, to manufacture mind bombs and lob them on unsuspecting audiences.
Every sista has a little good and bad sista in her. You just gotta know how to use them right, how to tell which one is talkin’ to you. Gotta know when it’s time to build or break, dialogue or damage, speak or smash, write or wreck.
