The Fourth at the Fort

We spent the Fourth of July weekend at Ft Wilderness in one of their cozy cabins. It was a wonderful weekend of quiet family time. On Friday morning, we enjoyed the waves at Blizzard Beach. Friday night we ate at the Trail’s End restaurant--YUM!!--and then joined the Campfire Singalong before we went to the beach for fireworks.

Saturday--the glorious Fourth!--we headed for the Magic Kingdom. (Haley wasn’t feeling well, and Catie stayed at the cabin with her.) We rode Big Thunder Mountain before we saw the newly redone Hall of Presidents (it was terrific!). On Saturday afternoon, Clint grilled dogs and burgers for us, and then everyone roasted marshmallows and made s’mores. MORE yum!

On Sunday morning, Clint and the two younger children went home (they had a special errand to run) and Dev, Haley and I spent the day together at Hollywood Studios and Epcot. It was a rare and special day.
