The Hull Has Turned Turtle

The hull is flipped for fiberglassing and painting

11 days left. Can I make it? It will be down to the wire. I don’t want to ruin 7 months of work by rushing but having a deadline does give me incentive to keep going. I’ve just about finished painting the interior. I just have to paint the floor with anti-slip paint which I’ll do after I finish the outer hull fiberglassing, fairing, and painting. Tonight I glassed and epoxied the bottom of the outer hull. Next, I’ll be doing the same to the sides. Then a bit more fairing, a couple coats of epoxy over the whole hull to fill the weave of the fiberglass and then painting the outer hull blue. The pictures don’t really show the fiberglass very well because it is transparent after it is saturated with epoxy. The dark red areas you see are filler for smoothing the seams. The final step will be making the sail. Boy, that sounds like a lot. Maybe July 5th?
