The World of Dyslexia

Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 people can’t read and/or spell well because of dyslexia. Dyslexia means “difficulty with words.”  People with dyslexia have trouble learning to read, write, and spell competently, even though they may be very intelligent and creative.

People with dyslexia have brains that process information differently from most people’s brains.

Although people with dyslexia struggle with schoolwork, they may excel in science, sports, music, art and/or social skills.

If you suspect dyslexia and want to know for sure, a dyslexia screening can provide the answer. Specialized tests can establish whether a person’s reading difficulty is due to dyslexia.

Dyslexia can be reliably diagnosed at any age, even in children as young as 5 1/2.

For information about testing or tutoring for an adult or child with reading and/or spelling problems see the other pages on this website or you may use the button at the bottom to email me.
Dyslexia effects a person’s world in many ways, including, but not limited to; reading, writing,  spelling, directionality issues and memorization issues.
