Red-bellied pacu
Red-bellied pacu
Sometimes sold as “vegetarian piranhas” this massive fish is known to stroll the waters of the Amazon, eating fruits that fall from the trees. Most of these fish eventually end up either dead, stunted, or in a public aquarium due to their size. Occasionaly these fish will turn nasty and may kill other fish in a single, crazy rampage, however for the most part, they are quite peaceful, and some say “friendly.”
