Please pass on our thanks to Hugh for his expert local knowledge of the area. The routes were superb.
Your enthusiasm and attention to detail made it a day to remember, especially Paul's infectious laughter on camera when Nigel did his impression of Mark Spitz ! Fancy letting the guy go into that depth of water !!! Our journey home was full of anecdotes of our great day out. All the best for the future.

We got back today and we have had a really good time. The Hotel Balcon was very good and there are some nice places to eat in Competa. The weather was ideal for riding, around 72 c.

The bikes were well maintained and Trevor is a first class guide with excellent knowledge of the area. He set a good pace and took us to some places few people will ever see. The views from the mountains are stunning.

The lunches on ride days exceeded our expectations.

I would give the trip a 10 out of 10 rating. It was real value for money with 2 full 8 hour riding days.

John Fryer

'What can I say!.... we so looked forward to this tour and it really lived up to expectations, lovely village up in the mountains (Competa) the hotel was one of the best hotels I have been in, Stunning views lovely hospitable staff a real laugh and the beds were comfortable too!!
There were 10 of us on the tour, on the Saturday it was around a 10am start, the bikes were in good condition well serviced and ready to go, lots of banter getting ready and then a quick brief by Trevor on what to do etc.

Headed off into the mountains on some easy tracks to break us in and get us used to the bikes, I was riding a Beta 450 and was quite impressed, Trevor had the bikes set up spot on, the suspension was lovely and soft which ate up all the rugged terrain with ease, you could aim the bike anywhere and it would not be put offline, it was great proper Enduro bike, the terrain was relativley easy on the first day but very enjoyable, the second day was a differant affair lots of knarly climbing up into the mountains a real grin factor, we had a steep hillclimb on the first day which Trevor did first and then said if we wanted we could have a go, there was 10 of us and 4 had a go! It was pretty steep but nothing compared to the Sunday, now this was a hill 3 of us had a go and only one got to the top, I had 4 attempts but I couldn't get there much to the amusement of the others, loads more exciting mountain climbs and then we came to the third hill! now this was steep so steep that we all bottled it and there was some good riders amongst us...Trevor showed us how to do it but it took him 2 attempts, it was the coming down that put us off! All in all it was the best weekend I have had 10 guys on the beer with some truly excellent riding, Trevor was a great host the pace was fast but not dangerous, bikes were great especially the Sherco's.

If your after a good weekend with the lads and some proper trails then this is the tour for you...just watch out for the BEARS

Steve Armstrong and the Southern trail tarts

As a novice offroader everything was explained to me, water crossings, rock steps, steep ascents and descents but Andy is a great teacher. I was never rushed or pressurized only encouraged and corrected.
The end result was a brilliant 2 day ride through rural Spain captured on film by Andy, i cant wait to get back and will be booking again shortly. I would definitely recommend this experience to any riders thinking of trail riding in Spain as i couldn't fault the professionalism and content of the tour, and the arranged accommodation was excellent and very reasonably priced. Thanks very much and hope to see you soon.

He kept a perfect pace for us and took us to good restaurants. Day one was fantastic mountain tracks, we also had a great blat round a motox track. Day two was great fun with hill climbs and more mountain tracks. .All through the tour we had superb advice and all questions answered by Trevor and Rob. They even took us down to the coast on the bikes without even touching a road.

The bikes were great and well capable of the tours. All hail Trevor, Rob and Mary (Who always had a beer waiting for us after a fab days ride!)

Cheers Dean and the Southern trail tarts
