Sterilization

 

Thermally compacted waste is sterilized as the temperature profile and duration is in excess of standard sterilization procedures such as hospital autoclaving.


It is anticipated that food packaging material will contain blood and other organic matter and this is desiccated during the process, fluid leaving the machine as steam is dealt with by the filtration system.


The advantage of sterilized material is that it is virtually odorless and can be stored indefinitely until a useful load is available for transportation.


The following laboratory certificate confirms sterilization of heavily contaminated waste.
