Autumn has arrived in Minnesota, a favourite time of year here.  Recent gigs with Laura MacKenzie in the Twin Cities were a great success.  Laura and I have played traditional music together for over 30 years, and earlier this year we finished our first duo recording (click here for more information).  Last spring we were both honored to receive Bush Artist Fellowships - a truly extraordinary gift from the Archibald Bush Foundation here in Minnesota.

Highlights of the fall schedule include two Trian reunions (with Liz Carroll and Billy McComiskey), first in Jackson, Mississippi, and then in York, Pennsylvania.  In December, Altan heads to Japan for a series of concerts, including some orchestral collaborations.
