Lat’s Entertainment....

Four games unbeaten now since the Merton debacle as Lats eventually fought off a spirited Lyonian challenge. Winnie the Pooh brought his blustery day with him and the first half was fairly uneventful as each cancelled the other out. We found it tough into the wind and didn’t create much whilst their best efforts seem to come from the keepers enormous goal kicks which almost caught Nick out on a couple of occasions. Andy Fleming left proceedings early with a hamstring pull but was ably replaced by young frank though he did complain that centre mid was a bit tiring. Try it when you’re 40 plus young un!

The second half as i had hoped showed a marked improvement, we pretty much camped down their end though it took an hour to break the shackles as Louis was brought down in the box. Matt made the most of his authority as skipper to claim the pen, i think we’ll have to keep an eye out as with his new business to run plus the armband he could go power mad.

The second was a beauty as Richard and Louis played a neat one two and the former crashed the ball into the top corner. By now the Lyons defence was stretched and Andy Kings neat skill and pinpoint through ball found Billy who kept up his goal a game with a neat finish. Finally Louis claimed a fourth as the keeper somehow managed to throw one in, possibly an OG but we’ll give it to the lad. I came on for Tias simply because i couldn’t stand the cold any longer and Andy Carr came on for Billy who following his goal promptly shot to the touchline and spewed up. Good work there mate.

So the business end of the season is upon us and we now find ourselves in with an outside chance of going up. We have all the top sides to play starting this week at Ibis who are just ahead of us. We are on a roll fellas...live the dream!!

MOM- Richard Churchman showed what a class act he is and was the foundation for the performance, a great display.
