Total Shambles...Completely

As good as last week was this was as bad. Two very different line ups from the match at theirs when we put 6 past them and it was was to see why they are now almost certain champions.

For a while this was very competitive, after half an hour we even took the lead as Billy questionably beat the offside trap to put us ahead but by half time we were 3-1 down thanks to some shambolic defending, the one area where we’ve been so solid all season. We did miss Matts calming influence (?) but put simply there were too many errors, namely failure to shut the winger down for the first, poor clearance for the second and poor John spilled one for the third.

I still felt we had a chance but heads were down and we looked jaded as can happen in midweek games. OW’S came harder at us after the break and we never got going, they hit the frame of the goal at least twice and the big centre forward smashed in two crackers though we had chances to clear both. The sixth was a tap in after some poor marking again. Richard got us a late consolation but in truth we were outgunned in most areas with only chris in midfield and billy up front really sticking to their task.

So a pretty good season but now we have to settle for the best spot we can, good luck to Wilsons who really were a strong side at this level.

MOM - Tabbers, old fashioned grit all afternoon sadly but it wasn’t matched elsewhere.
Old Lats 3’s
Old Wilsonians H SAL L 2-6 Sylvester, Churchman
Clearly the Yarmouth roller netball team would have defended better...
