Tony Peri : Photographer + B&W specialist Printer
working in Sydney, AUSTRALIA
Tony has photographed stage and theatre work, music album covers, fine art, documentary projects, and worked on conservation and historical photographic assignments. He teaches photography and regularly leads workshops on subjects from pinhole photography, bird photography, portraiture and traditional darkroom printing.
Tony is currently working on the Bromoil process, a hand-made pigment inking process which was 100 years old in 2007. The process can take 3 days to make a print, but the image is unique and more archival than a silver gelatin print.
Tony is president and darkroom co-ordinator of Primrose Park Photographers, an informal collective of photographers who regularly meet in an old sewerage treatment plant in Sydney. Unlike most camera clubs Primrose Park is a non-competitive environment and welcomes anyone with a passion for photography. Link here for Primrose Park Photographers.
