This series of paintings is the most current series that I have worked on. Through the years when asked what my work was about, I have always replied that my work was mostly about the exploration of beauty and the space one makes for it’s contemplation. That, in part, is where this series came from. For me the Buddha symbolizes the unending search for the universal and the transcendent. It stresses that a search for contentment and happiness is an INWARD journey that is individual and unique from which the experience of the world can emerge. It is uninvolved with outward manifestations of success like money, power and ego.
