Indiana Jones Sketch Cards

Just did 200 of these suckers for Topps trading cards.
Since I committed to drawing so many, and because the pay rate is so low, I really tried to crank on these things.  As usual, they took a LOT longer than anticipated, and took away much-needed time away from other jobs.

But I love Indiana Jones, and it’s a treat to draw my favorite childhood character.  So I tried to look at this project that way.  I pretended it wasn’t a job.  If I suddenly thought about how low the pay was, I’d start getting depressed and consider taking a job at Burger King to make more money.

I’m keeping six cards in order to offer up for sale to collectors down the road.  Ideally, that will help make the Indy cards financially feasible for me.

I’ve done some other Indy stuff over the past several months related to the movie, but I can’t talk about it yet.

Most of these cards are drawn with a pen from “life” while watching the Indiana Jones DVDs.  A bit of tone was also used with varying tools....
color brush pens
watercolor
ink
colored pencil
spit

Here’s a peek at the few I bothered to scan...........
