1985 #3 cover

Recently wrapped up the cover to 1985 #3.  I think this is my favorite cover so far, as I was able to make the time to finesse the painting as I liked.  It’s also the most “story-specific” cover (until #4).  After the first two montage-style covers, it was nice to tackle a slightly simpler composition.

I haven’t updated this BLOG in a while because I’ve been SLAMMED with deadlines.  I posted below one of the recent pieces I did for the local Ballet Company’s production of The Sleeping Beauty.

I’m also today finishing a big Indiana Jones project for Leapfrog (interactive kids books).  Can’t show you any of that, however.....

I’m off to NYC tomorrow morning for the New York Comicon.  Most of the BLVD members will be there, along with Walter Simonson.  We’ll be selling our sketchbooks, original art, prints, and doing commission sketches.

Gotta pack-
Whew!

More when I get back.......
