1985 #2 Cover

I’m about to jump onto the layouts for 1985 #4. But before that, I’ve gotta finish painting the cover to issue #3.

Speaking of covers-

Above is the final cover art to 1985 issue #2.

It was painted with acrylics, ink, prismacolor pencils, watercolor, and gouache on bristol measuring 13”x19”. The ‘power’ effects were primarily done in Photoshop after the physical painting was scanned into the computer.

As the #1 cover revolves around Marvel’s heroes, issue 2 centers in on a small selection of villains. In merely the first three chapters, I’ve been able to tackle the list of Marvel villains below....
