The Hospeace House Regatta and Nautical Celebration on July 14, 2007 was a huge success. It was held at the Canandaigua Yacht Club on Canandaigua Lake. 17 boats raced in the Regatta with a combination of classes - J24s, Thistles and Non-Spinnaker PHRF boats of various types.


Kristen “Kiki” Werner of the Rochester Yacht Club and her crew aboard the “Pee-Wee” J24 was the winner of the 2007 Hospeace House Regatta. Kiki and her Crew will compete in the 2008 Hospice Regattas National Championship in the spring of 2008.

The Nautical Celebration hosted over 90 people to a delicious dinner, silent auction and entertainment.


Over $19,000 was raised for Hospeace House, Inc. Many thanks go to everyone who made the 2007 Hospeace House Regatta and Nautical Celebration a huge success.

Through the fundraising efforts of the local communities and Hospeace House, Inc., Hospeace House was built and is maintained with the highest standards of any 4-bed residence in New York State.


Hospeace House is operated and certified through Ontario Yates Hospice, a program of Finger Lakes Visiting Nurse Service. Ontario Yates Hospice (OYH) is a New York State Department of Health Certified Hospice Provider which provides 24-hour hospice care for persons who are in the last six months of their lives.


Around the clock professional staff and volunteers (from OYH) provide hospice care for residents and families of Hospeace House every day of the year.
