This week’s sixth round of the RLRL GTP series at historic Bridgehampton, saw the smallest field for a long time assemble to take on the high speed circuit in the sandhills. With championship front-runners SpeedRacer, Majortom and Buddy joined by Eagle, Sam and Yerblues, the grid was barely big enough to raise dust. Yerblues’ technical issues prevented the car from starting the race, leaving the field at five.

Buddy dominates Bridgehampton


The No.6 Precision Color Jaguar put on a blazing performance to lead all but two of the fifty-six laps with hardly a foot wrong. With an average speed of 129 mph this was a superb display of high speed car control from Buddy Schuck.


Third at Bridgehampton — again. Hot on the heals of SpeedRacer until overshooting the pit stall on the first stop, it was all catch-up after that. Never as consistent as the leaders the 99 car had to settle for third in the small field.
