Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We are honored that you are considering us to be your baby’s parents. We understand that you are making an important and difficult decision, and we admire your strength and courage. We hope our letter will show how excited we are to have the opportunity to love, cherish, and nurture a child, and how committed we are to open adoption. About Us Steve was raised in Savannah, Georgia. Tom grew up near Detroit, Michigan. When we met 21 years ago at Emory University here in Atlanta, Georgia, we found that we had similar family backgrounds, goals and values. Over the years, our commitment and love for each other has grown through the honesty, trust, and open communication we share. We have close and supportive families who always seem to find time to check-in on us. Both of our mothers couldn’t be more excited to be grandmothers to our child! We’ve worked hard over the years to achieve our long range goals. Tom had a 10 year retail and accounting career and Steve spent 15 years working in the health care field. In 2005 we knew we were ready to pursue our dream of buying, renovating, designing and selling houses in the Atlanta area. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to start our own business! We also have the added flexibility in our schedules to be very involved with our child. From watching our child walk for the first time, volunteering for field trips, helping with homework or attending the monthly PTA meetings, we are excited and cannot wait to expand our family!
